Refund Policy
AnyMarker costs USD 14.99 once. If it isn't right for you, ask for your money back within 14 days and you'll get it. This page explains how, and covers the edge cases.
The short version
Request a refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. We don't ask why.
Message us or use your Polar customer portal, and the payment goes back to the card or account you paid with. Your licence is deactivated when the refund is issued — nothing else you made is touched.
The 14-day promise
Every AnyMarker purchase comes with a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund window, counted from the date of your order.
- No reason required. “It didn't work with my setup”, “I didn't end up using it”, and “I changed my mind” are all equally fine. You don't have to justify it, and we won't try to talk you out of it.
- Using the app doesn't void your refund. You don't need to have left it untouched, and you won't be asked to prove how little you used it. Anything you already embedded stays in your own files.
- No restocking fee, no partial refunds, no store credit. You get the full amount you paid.
Something broken is a bug report first, if you'll let it be. If AnyMarker isn't working for you, a quick message is often all it takes — and if we can't fix it, the refund is still there. But you are never required to troubleshoot to qualify. Ask for the refund whenever you want it.
How to request one
Purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc., which acts as the Merchant of Record for AnyMarker. That means Polar is the seller on your receipt and Polar issues the refund. Either route below works — use whichever is quicker for you.
Message us
Use the support form or email support@wanto.work. Include the email address you bought with, or the order number from your receipt — that's all we need to find it.
You do not need to explain yourself. “Refund please” is a complete request.
Or use your Polar customer portal
Your purchase receipt links to a customer portal where your order and licence key live. You can raise the refund there directly with Polar without going through us.
We approve it
We aim to action refund requests within 2 business days. It's one person handling these, so an occasional weekend delay is possible — the request is never lost, and the 14-day window is judged by when you asked, not when we replied.
What happens next
- The money goes back the way it came — to the original card or payment method. Polar processes it; how quickly it appears is up to your bank, and typically takes 5–10 business days after it's issued.
- Your licence key is deactivated when the refund is issued, and AnyMarker returns to its locked state on the machines where it was activated.
- Nothing you made is deleted. Your recordings, your chapter
.txtfiles, your presets, and any video you already embedded chapters into are ordinary files on your own disk. A refund doesn't reach into them, and chapters already written into a video stay written. - A refund doesn't restore a used trial. If your 7-day trial was already spent on that machine before you bought, refunding the purchase won't give you another one.
- You're welcome to buy again later if the app becomes a better fit. No hard feelings, and no penalty.
Try before you buy
AnyMarker has a 7-day free trial with no card required, and it's the full app — not a crippled demo. It exists so you can confirm the thing that actually matters before spending anything: that AnyMarker connects to your OBS setup and embeds chapters into your recordings, on your machine, with your drives.
Using it is not a condition of anything here. The 14-day refund applies whether you trialled first or bought outright.
Duplicate or wrong purchases
These are refunded on request regardless of the 14-day window:
- Accidental double purchase. Bought twice, or bought a second licence you didn't mean to? Tell us and we'll refund the extra.
- Charged but no licence key arrived. Contact us — usually we can just send you the key, but a refund is yours if you'd rather.
- A charge you don't recognise. Your statement may show Polar rather than AnyMarker or wanto.work, which catches people out. Message us before disputing it and we'll identify the order for you.
EU and UK withdrawal rights
If you're a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on distance purchases. For digital content delivered immediately, that right is normally waived at checkout so you can download and use the product straight away.
Our policy is written to give you the same 14 days regardless. Whatever you agreed to at checkout, you can still ask for a refund within 14 days and get one. Nothing on this page reduces your statutory consumer rights, including your rights if the software is faulty or not as described.
After 14 days
Past 14 days, refunds are at our discretion rather than automatic — but the door isn't shut. If AnyMarker stopped working out for you, get in touch and tell us what happened. We'd rather sort something out than keep USD 14.99 and leave you stuck with software you can't use.
What we can't do is commit in advance to a particular outcome, a fix by a particular date, or a guarantee that every feature stays in the product forever. AnyMarker is a small tool made by one person and it changes over time. Decisions past the 14-day window are made case by case.
Your statutory rights are a separate matter and are unaffected by this section. If the software is faulty or not as described, consumer law where you live may give you remedies that last well beyond 14 days, and nothing on this page limits them.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank. A refund request is faster for you — days rather than weeks — and it costs us far less than a dispute does.
If a chargeback is filed, the associated licence key is deactivated while the dispute is open. If it turns out to be a genuine mistake or an unrecognised charge, tell us and we'll sort it out rather than argue about it.
Repeat refunds
This policy runs on trust, and almost everyone deserves it. We reserve the right to decline a refund, or to refuse future purchases, in the narrow case of clear abuse — for example repeatedly buying and refunding to keep using AnyMarker without paying for it. Being unsure, changing your mind, or refunding once and buying again later is not abuse and will never be treated as such.
